Library at KV STPS Suratgarh

The Library of Kendriya Vidyalaya STPS, Suratgarh with its excellent collections of books, periodicals, newspapers – English newspaper acts as a support and inspiration to the teaching and learning community of the Vidyalaya. The Library provides a welcoming learning environment for students and staff, supports the Vidyalaya’s aims and curriculum, encourages the love of reading and the development of student’s independent learning skills.

The Vidyalaya Library is open for every school day from 07:30 A.M. to 02:00 P.M. According to the Vidyalaya time-table, the students of Class III to XII may visit the library for the issue and return of the books during their Library periods. They can read reference books, periodicals and e-readers during this time and also participate in Library activities. For Students One (01) Book for a period of one weeks is being issued whereas for Staff it is Maximum of Ten (10) Books for a period of One (1) month.

Class Libraries are functioning for Classes I & II. The Library follows an open access system. The Books are classified and shelved according to the DDC (Ed. 22). Every Book is Bar coded. The Stock and Services of the Library have been automated with e-Granthalaya, Version-3.

Librarian and a team of experts are developing Digital content of Curriculum and different fields of like Science & Technology, Literature, Humanities, Art & Culture, History etc. so that students may access to their interest zone subjects and area.
